REVIEW: OWYN Non-Dairy Protein Shake

REVIEW: OWYN Non-Dairy Protein Shake

As I’ve talked about before, I’m always on the hunt for a simple, tasty way to boost my protein intake.

While I tried (and enjoyed!) the Blogilates Sculpt & Debloat Protein Bars with Probiotics, I don’t really go to Target enough to be able to buy them consistently.

So, when I spotted the OWYN protein shakes BOGO at my grocery store, I decided to take a chance on them!

REVIEW: SuperBeets Sport Powder

REVIEW: SuperBeets Sport Powder

This is going to sound a little weird, but I’ve had an interest in beets for a while.

I’ve heard random claims here and there that beets/beet juice can help with endurance, which as a runner, immediately grabbed my interest. However, besides occasionally adding beets to a salad, I’ve never taken any further action to study the claims or start incorporating beets into my fitness routine. That changed this weekend. (At least sort of. More on that ahead!)

I recently watched the documentary, The Game Changers on Netflix, and was reminded again about the claims surrounding beets and beet juice, so when I spotted a sample package of SuperBeets Sport at the store, it felt like a sign to give it a try.

REVIEW: Blogilates Sculpt & Debloat Protein Bar with Probiotics

After my experience with the Blogilates Sculpt & Debloat Sweet Cream Protein Powder with Probiotics, I was a bit hesitant to try out the new line of Blogilates Sculpt & Debloat Protein Bars with Probiotics that recently hit the shelves at Target. But as a fan of Cassey Ho, Blogilates, and Popflex, I decided to give the Sculpt & Debloat brand another try. And as you’ll see, I’m glad I did! (Please note: I’m not a nutritionist, doctor, or any…

PRODUCT REVIEW: Liquid I.V. vs. Nuun

PRODUCT REVIEW: Liquid I.V. vs. Nuun

As a runner in Florida, especially in the summertime, I have a serious need for electrolyte replacement to avoid the whole muscle cramping, headache-y, ears pounding feeling. While I do love an original lemon-lime Gatorade or one of the other traditional sports drinks, there are now so many other electrolyte drink options on the market!

I’ve been making an effort to try out different electrolyte replacement brands, including Liquid I.V. Hydration Multiplier and Nuun Sport tablets, to see what works best for me. I do like both, but there are some major differences between the two!

Product Review: BalanceFrom Foam Plyometric Box

Product Review: BalanceFrom Foam Plyometric Box

After months of having the BalanceFrom 3-in-1 20″ 24″ 30″ Foam Plyometric Box in my mental shopping cart and obsessively reading reviews, I finally added it to my real shopping cart on Amazon and hit purchase.

I bought the plyo box with the goal of doing plyometrics to improve my speed as a runner. (A very brief Google search told me it would.) I was also looking for something that would shake up my usual workout routine, which largely included running or lifting dumbbells haphazardly. I was particularly drawn to the BalanceFrom jumping box as it’s made of a foam material. As a beginner to this, I find the wooden plyo boxes to be a bit intimidating! All I can picture is my shin sliding down the side…

BEAUTY REVIEW: Pure Daily Care NanoSteamer Sold on Amazon

So, you know how dermatologists say you should NEVER pop your own pimples or pick at other bumps on your skin?

Yeah.. that’s easier said than not done.

But for 2022, I’m making it a goal to establish some healthier skincare habits, which includes trying to leave my skin alone (for the most part!). As part of that goal, I’ve been trying out the Pure Daily Care NanoSteamer available on Amazon. In this blog post, I’ll be sharing my experience using a facial steamer for the first time and my thoughts on whether it’s worth the $49.95 price tag.

PRODUCT REVIEW: Acupressure Mat & Pillow

PRODUCT REVIEW: Acupressure Mat & Pillow

I love the idea of acupuncture.

As someone that carries a lot of tension in my shoulders and upper back, the idea of being able to release that tension while also experiencing other physical and emotional benefits sounds incredible in theory.

But there’s a big problem… I don’t like needles.

That’s why I’ve been intrigued by the idea of acupressure mats for some time as the mats feature plastic massage nodes instead of needles. So, a few weeks ago, I finally made the plunge and bought one.
