What I’m Into: October 2020 Edition
I haven’t shared a ‘What I’m Into’ list since August, so it was definitely time to share some of my new favorite things!
The list includes a surprising, but new favorite wine, as well as how to get an intense cardio workout in just 10 minutes.
Ice Riesling (ice wine + Riesling)
This was a major wine win that I found recently at World Market!
The Frost Bitten Ice Riesling is a sweet desert wine that’s basically a mix of Riesling and ice wine flavors. While ice wine has almost a honey/mead flavor to me, I found the Riesling helped to tone that element down.
(FYI, ice wine is a dessert wine that involves grapes that have been frozen on the vine, which apparently makes them sweeter with a more concentrated flavor)
Emily in Paris
I, just like everyone else, have absolutely been binge-watching this series on Netflix! I haven’t finished it yet, so no spoilers. But it’s a nice, fluffy show to watch about a marketing employee who suddenly gets the opportunity to live and work in Paris. However, she quickly finds that not everything is super glamorous.
If you daydream about living in another country, this is a fun watch.
Riley Sager
More on this will come in my October book round-up, but I recently finished reading Final Girls by Riley Sager and I was blown away! This year it seems like I’ve read a lot of OK and kind of good thrillers, but this one was exactly what I had been looking for. (I did not see the twist coming at all.)
I’ve already put in a request for another one of Sager’s books in the OverDrive App.
(If you’ve read Final Girls– this is totally how I picture Pine Cottage)
10-minute cardio workout
My obsession with YouTube fitness videos continues (check out some of my favorites HERE and HERE). This time though, I’ve found a new favorite cardio workout that’s only 10 minutes long. While it’s short, it’s a true challenge! I find myself having to do the recommended modifications and even take a few breaks along the way. If you’re trying to find a way to squeeze in a short workout as part of the T.I.M.E morning routine, this is a great way to get your heart pumping.
P.S. This one is probably NOT the best if you live in an apartment with people below you as there’s a lot of jumping.
Authenticity (and being true to yourself)
After recently making a tough professional decision, this article on The Everygirl was like a breath of fresh air. I made the choice that’s right for me and the person I’m trying to be. And it’s OK if people don’t understand.
The article boils down to asking yourself three important questions if you want to live a more authentic life. Definitely check it out!
What are you obsessed with right now? Please share!
