I feel like I’ve been on a reading roll lately!
In August, I read an entire trilogy, listened to a 23-hour long audiobook, and finished a book I’ve been reading since April.
Here’s the list:
-Big Macs & Burgundy by Vanessa Price
-Ace of Spades by Faridah Àbíké-Íyímídé
-The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene
-Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
-Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo
-Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo
-10% Happier by Dan Harris
Let’s get into those reviews!
My personal quest to find the best facial oil continues and in today’s post I’m sharing what could be a very strong contender!
I stumbled across the BYBI Strawberry Booster facial oil during a trip to Target. (Yes, it was one of those trips to Target where I needed one thing, but left with many, many more.) The packaging definitely caught my eye as it’s a mix of hot pink and light pink with gold lettering, which gives off a very chic appearance.
I always find August to be such a weird month.
It’s back-to-school for kids and feels like the unofficial end of summer. Yet (here in Florida at least), summer is still going strong with plenty of sun, humidity, and HOT temperatures. I’m excited about the upcoming change in season and holidays being on the horizon, but I also feel sad that I didn’t get out to the beach or pool as much as I wanted.
Does anyone else feel like this??
Given the whole summer ending/fall beginning vibes, I wanted to share a new round-up of my favorite things right now!
July proved to be another strong month of reading for me!
I didn’t break my record (looking at you, July 2020), but I managed to squeeze in seven books this month featuring a good mix of fiction and non-fiction choices:
Malibu Rising
Relentless: From Good to Great to Unstoppable
The Most Beautiful Girl in Cuba
The Rejection That Changed My Life
The Maidens
I Was Told There’d Be Cake
People We Meet on Vacation
Let’s get into those reviews!
I love the idea of acupuncture.
As someone that carries a lot of tension in my shoulders and upper back, the idea of being able to release that tension while also experiencing other physical and emotional benefits sounds incredible in theory.
But there’s a big problem… I don’t like needles.
That’s why I’ve been intrigued by the idea of acupressure mats for some time as the mats feature plastic massage nodes instead of needles. So, a few weeks ago, I finally made the plunge and bought one.
Between a recent career change and a vacation with only very limited Wi-Fi, I’ve had more time to think lately about my relationship with the internet, especially social media. I can easily waste HOURS (literally hours) just scrolling through Instagram and I know I’m not the only one.
I hope everyone is having a good summer so far! Between a vacation (finally!!) and just relaxing, I’ve been a little late in getting my June reads posted. I had a good mix going on this month with both fiction and non-fiction included.
After talking about my recent obsessions in the June 2021 round-up, I felt like the Clean & Clear Lemon Juice Toner has earned its own review blog post as it has quickly become a staple of my daily skincare routine.
In this post, I’m sharing my experience using the Clean & Clear Lemon Juice toner and the impact its had on my skin.
With summer right around the corner, I’m sharing a new round-up of my current favorite things and obsessions.
From skincare to Netflix, this latest list is all over the place (hopefully, in a good way)!
Check out it and let me know what you’re excited about ahead of this summer!
