October 2021: What I’m Into

October 2021: What I’m Into

With Halloween this weekend, I’m a bit sad that ∼spooky season∼ is coming to an end, but it also means we can all get into full holiday mode! (Not like I need more candles.)

I haven’t shared a round-up in a while, so I figured it was time to share my latest joys & interests.

Have you ever noticed the more you try to fight an idea, the more it fights back?

Like let’s say you hate carrots and refuse to eat them, and then suddenly, you start seeing articles spouting the health benefits of carrots everywhere? (Maybe, you have no idea what I’m talking about and that’s OK too.)

But this is the relationship I have with meditation.

I hate the idea of being quiet, sitting still, and focusing on my breath. Yet, all of the life-changing benefits of practicing meditation keep popping up for me.

August 2021: What I’m Into

August 2021: What I’m Into

I always find August to be such a weird month.

It’s back-to-school for kids and feels like the unofficial end of summer. Yet (here in Florida at least), summer is still going strong with plenty of sun, humidity, and HOT temperatures. I’m excited about the upcoming change in season and holidays being on the horizon, but I also feel sad that I didn’t get out to the beach or pool as much as I wanted.

Does anyone else feel like this??

Given the whole summer ending/fall beginning vibes, I wanted to share a new round-up of my favorite things right now!

With summer right around the corner, I’m sharing a new round-up of my current favorite things and obsessions.

From skincare to Netflix, this latest list is all over the place (hopefully, in a good way)!

Check out it and let me know what you’re excited about ahead of this summer!

Perspective: What are you missing?

Perspective: What are you missing?

I’ve been slowly making my way through ‘On Looking: A Walker’s Guide to the Art of Observation’ by Alexandra Horowitz and have been absolutely entranced by the idea of hidden worlds that most of us miss.

In this post, I’m diving into one simple way you can practice mindfulness while out for an ordinary walk.

It’s easy, I promise!

QUESTION: What are you looking forward to?

QUESTION: What are you looking forward to?

After being inspired by Grace Atwood of The Stripe (who was inspired by Cupcakes and Cashmere), I wanted to pass this question along to all of you:

What are you looking forward to?

With all of the uncertainty and anxiety of the past year, it’s nice to pause a moment and just daydream about what’s to come. Good things. Fun things. New places. Adventures.

In this post, I’m sharing four things I’m looking forward to!
