It was another solid month of reading for me! I managed to squeeze in 7 very different books, including one that earned a top score of 10/10.
What are your happiness boosters? It’s a question I’ve been asking myself lately after picking up the book ‘Happier: Learn the Secrets to Daily Joy and Lasting Fulfillment’ by Tal Ben-Shahar, Ph.D.
I thought June was an incredible month of reading for me, but in July I topped my personal record and read 10 books! (Please, don’t expect this from me in the future). I definitely filled my quota for fun beach reads and can cross that off my 2020 Summer Bucket List.
This month was a whirlwind of reading for me! I give all the credit to the OverDrive app which allows you to borrow eBooks and audiobooks from your local library using your library card. If you’re not using it yet, you are seriously missing out! It’s my new obsession.
After April’s thriller/suspense extravaganza, this was a slow month of reading for me. But I did still manage to read three vastly different books.
Last month was all about non-fiction, this month seemed to be all about thrillers and suspense. Wall of Silence by Tracy Buchanan Wall of Silence starts with a mom, Melissa, returning home to find her husband on the floor bleeding profusely and her three kids standing around him silent. March was a great month of reading for me and included what will probably be my favorite book of the year– Atomic Habits by James Clear.
This month wasn’t as productive as last month in terms of reading, but I still managed to get in 3 books. (Well, technically, two and a half.)
To help encourage myself to read more and remember what I’ve read, I’m starting a new monthly post. Each month I’ll share what I read and my honest thoughts about it.
First up, ‘A Gentleman in Moscow’ by Amor Towles.
